Goodwood Festival of Speed
The Goodwood Festival is a unique motorsports event. The more diverse your interest in motorsports, the more you'll love the Festival of Speed. It's a bit of a club car show, a touch museum display, and a good mix of demonstration runs. It's an eclectic stew showcasing the history of motor sport, where you'll see the greatest competition cars from all eras: steam carriages to 2006 Formula One chassis; Land Speed Record cars to "soapbox derby" racers; historic luxury automobiles to today's supercars; new and old, up close and at speed, This is the first chance many enthusiast have to see the cars they read about as youngsters running in anger again. The Goodwood Festival is held at the Earl of March's Estate, an hour from London near the south coast of England. This image is of the legendary Gulf Oil Porsche 917 running under the Goodwood Bridge during the 2003 10th anniversary event.
